Dump the Toxic Dump: Public catch-ups

Posted on

Hello from Southern Beaches Conservation Society Inc. (SBCS)

To mark last year’s Dump the Toxic Dump (DTTD) Sorell community event, SBCS are holding three informal public Catch-Ups.

You are invited to third Catch-Up – at the Copping Hall on Saturday 21 Sept at 2pm to 4pm. The Copping Catch-Up will be an informal exchange of information.

This will be an opportunity for some up to date information to be exchanged with the Sorell community and others, over a cup of tea / coffee.

Many people in the community have asked SBCS on numerous occasions, “…what has happened to the Copping C cell – Dump the Toxic Dump?” ” What is the science behind the C cell?” “What are others in the community doing to stop this?” “Why isn’t Government getting involved with such a major landfill site?” “How can we get more involved?” “What alternative solutions are there?” “Why rezoning to Utility and no community consultation?”
