Dogs’ Homes of Tasmania appoints new CEO

Posted on

The Dogs’ Homes of Tasmania has appointed Rhonda McLaughlin to the role of CEO.

Ms McLaughlin, previous CEO of disability support organisation STAR Tasmania, will fill the
role for an interim period, replacing Robert Broadway who recently resigned for personal
reasons.

Dogs’ Homes of Tasmania Board Chairman John Gray said Ms McLaughlin’s proven expertise
would be a valuable asset to the organisation.

“Ms McLaughlin has extensive experience in the successful running of community
organisations and will continue the good work of previous CEO Robert Broadway,” Mr Gray
said.

Mr Gray paid tribute to the dedication and hard work of Mr Broadway, who he said had
steered the organisation through difficult financial times, helping to secure its future.

“Robert’s passion and commitment to the cause as well as his work to ensure the
organisation could remain viable has been greatly appreciated and we now look forward to
Rhonda building on this,” he said.

Ms McLaughlin, a self-confessed dog lover, said she was excited about the prospect of
working with the Dogs’ Homes of Tasmania, which provides shelter and care for lost, stray
or unwanted dogs.

“I am looking forward to building on the admirable work done by the staff, volunteers and
supporters at the Dogs’ Homes of Tasmania and tackling some of the challenges the
organisation faces head-on,” Ms McLaughlin said.
