Australian Greens to Seek Urgent briefing From Australia Post.
Senator Peter Whish-Wilson has sought an urgent meeting with Australia Post in relation to their announcement to no longer guarantee overnight interstate deliveries for much of Tasmania.
Recent media reports have stated the service will cease on April 8, with the exception of the greater Hobart region.
“There are many small businesses that are reliant upon a reliable express postal service from Tasmania to the mainland, Senator Whish-Wilson stated.
“Without such a service some firms will be placed at a competitive disadvantage to similar businesses operating from a region with guaranteed next day delivery.”
