ISSF CLAY TARGET NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS
BRISBANE, AUSTRALIA – Thursday, 24 January, 2013 – Brisbane International Clay Target Shooting Range secured the ISSF National Championships over all other states for 2013. The competition starts today (Thursday) and will continue until Sunday.
There is a record number of competitors and the cream of the Australian Gold Medal Shooting Crop, namely Michael Diamond, Russell Mark, Adam Vella, Suzie Balogh and Lauryn Mark along with 180 other competitors, will compete to win the Crown of National and/or Commonwealth Champion and obtain a PQS (Personal Qualifying Score) to further increase their chances of the privilege to represent Australia in Rio 2016.
Shooters from Scotland, Japan, Libya, and Fiji have also made the journey to gauge the strength of what our Australian shooters are producing.
Our Gold medallists are available to meet and chat with the public all week.
There are 40 000 Clay Target Shooters across Australia who take part in this Olympic sport on a weekly basis.
