Get snapping for the WaterSense Photography Competition!

Posted on

October is a great time for southern Tasmanian photographers young and old to get snapping, with the inaugural WaterSense Photography Competition open for entries throughout the month.

The competition theme is ‘Water: The gift of life’, with prizes on offer for the entries which best capture and interpret this theme. Southern Water Executive Manager Customer Services, Angela Wright, said that with prizes to be awarded in both Open and Under-16 categories, school students are particularly encouraged to apply.

“We thought that a photography competition is a fantastic way to get the community involved in our WaterSense Month celebrations which are taking place throughout October,” Ms Wright said.

“Water is such a fantastic theme for photography, especially here in Tasmania where we have so much spectacular natural beauty.”

“It is so easy now for everyone to take terrific photographs, so we are looking forward to seeing entries from professional photographers right through to people catching a great image on their phone.”

Entries can be submitted from October 1 until the competition closes for judging on October 31. The winners will be announced in mid-November.
