Launch of Dr Anita Heiss’ Paris Dreaming by Patsy Cameron, Fullers Bookshop, Sunday, April 3, 1pm
In a special double book launch Patsy Cameron will launch Anita Heiss’ new book Paris Dreaming at 1pm, Sunday, April 3 at Fullers Bookshop and Anita will launch Patsy’s new book Grease and Ochre.
Dr Anita Heiss is a Koori woman and a award winning best-selling author who has published nonfiction, historical fiction, chick lit, poetry, social commentary and travel articles. She has created a new genre called ‘Koori Chick-lit.’
Paris Dreaming tells the story of Libby, who is on a man-fast. She has great friends, loving cats and a high-powered job at the National Aboriginal Gallery in Canberra. When fate takes Libby to work in Paris romance has sudden romance becomes a lot more tempting.
Patsy Cameron is an Aboriginal Elder and a descendent of the famous Coastal Plains leader Mannalargenna. She was involved in the establishment the Riawunna Centre for Aboriginal Education). She is a former deputy head of the Riawunna Centre in Launceston.
Grease and Ochre is third in the series Studies in the History of Aboriginal People published by Fullers Bookshop. It is the story of the Coastal Plains people in Tasmania’s North East, their struggle and ultimately their survival.
