Expressions of Interest Sought for Planning Committee
Longview Communities Inc. (a not-for-profit organisation) has been formed in order to establish a small-scale community of 10-15 independent living units with medical and nursing support available on-site on land donated at Lower Longley in Tasmania’s southern region, that will be built especially for GLBTI & GLBTI-friendly people with mild disability or frailty who can maintain some level of independence in a supportive community.
EOI are sought from people interested in volunteering their services for the planning committee of this community, currently in ‘start-up’ phase. Ideally the committee would reflect the cultural diversity of Tas. Expertise in the areas of aged / disability care, nursing, medicine, medical & business admin, building, project management, law, local & state gov., grant submissions welcome, as are members of the general public.
An inaugural meeting will be held on Wednesday 30th March*, at Conference Room, Lower Grnd Flr, Hobart Town Hall, from 6pm – 8.30pm. RSVP’s for catering by Mar. 25 to [email protected] ph.
