After years of attempts by telco companies and governments to suppress results of research on health hazards posed by mobile phones, Prof Girish Kumar’s research is yet another warning against excessive mobile phone usage.
Kumar’s research and that of Professor Susan Greenfield on the effects on the brain of playing frequent video games and social websites is a wakeup call to all of us about the risks of re-wiring the brain through overuse of infotainment technologies.
