As someone with a law degree, I thought that the process followed by the State Labor Government, particularly when Paul Lennon was Premier, on this matter was greatly disturbing – even disgraceful.
I think the decision to abandon the RPDC process was a mistake, and I thought Labor’s direct intervention showed how little regard they had for accountability and due process.
In regard to the development itself, my position is that I do not object to it being constructed provided the construction and its subsequent operation are completely in line with the environmental control requirements laid down by State and Commonwealth law.
