THE University of Tasmania could soon have a school of sustainable economics to cash in on the growing awareness about climate change. Vice-Chancellor Daryl Le Grew has leapt enthusiastically on a plan by state Greens leader Nick McKim to make the university a leader in environmental economics. “Inevitably economic systems will have to be reformed to factor in a requirement to be sustainable,” Mr McKim said.
