AFTER spending some time communing with nature, I have returned to Hobart to find the Education and Health departments in Tasmania in a state of considerable disarray.

My good friend Bacchus No-Smoke tells me that the Lennon Government in its wisdom, has moved Education Secretary Martyn Forrest to Health, to bring it up to the mark.

Dr Forrest presided over the Essential Learnings curriculum and associated Jargon Buster — released to help people to try to understand the new ideology.

Perhaps under the new chief, doctors, nurses and patients will be in for re-education to bring them up to the mark. Perhaps a new Essential Learnings package for health will need a decoder …
