Our webmaster has scoured the web for the latest links to the disaster that is unfolding as Hurrican Katrina — a category 5 monster with 250km/h winds — heads closer to New Orleans, a city that has been forced to evacuate.

That’s more than a million people heading out of town and many are unlikely to make it to safety before Katrina makes landfall.
