A WHOPPING 83 per cent of Tasmanians do not believe the State Government listens to them or acts on community wishes, a new survey shows. The shock finding is part of a statewide survey by the Tasmania Progress Board, which aims to improve community cohesiveness, quality of life and government accountability. As part of the Tasmania Together 2020 program, more than 2000 households were asked during the past year if they were satisfied with the Government’s actions and responsiveness to community needs. Just 17 per cent believed the State Government satisfactorily listened and responded to the community. Read more here
