FROM HERE TO MONGOLIA – HOBART PRIVATE
HOSPITAL DONATING RESOURCES
The October 2008 upgrade of Hobart Private Hospital’s (HPH) Angiography facility has led to a positive partnership between Rotary, Philips Healthcare and the Hobart Private
Hospital.
The equipment, which is used to diagnose complex problems in heart and vascular tissue, will be donated to the Shastin Central Hospital in Mongolia. This has been arranged by
Rotary International, via the Nunawading (Vic) Branch. The project is made possible via support from engineers from Philips Healthcare, who will donate time to fly over and install
the complex equipment.
“I am delighted to be able to donate this cardiac and vascular imaging equipment to such a worthy destination and country ” said Dr Glen Power, General Manager of Hobart Private
Hospital.
