The Premier and the government have eventually agreed to the expansion to the size of Parliament. This is a great idea as only 25 members cannot do all the work and there is no depth.
Rather than just putting things back the way they were i.e. 5 electorate of 7 members, the Premier has proposed confusing Tasmanians and wasting their money by redrawing 7 electorates with 5 members. This will only lead to confusion among Tasmanians as to which electorate they are now in, and it will waste much needed money because all the new electorates have to be registered with the Federal government and another whole lot of duplication has to be done which wastes important Tasmanian money, which can better be spent on our hospital and other services.
Lets again have 5 electorates with 7 members.
