Logging is imminent in this area that has been at the heart of Bob Brown’s long running legal battle.
Come and see for yourself the forest and endangered species habitat under threat. Find out more about the issues and what you can do.
Directions: From Sorell take the Arthur Highway as far as the Wielangta turnoff on the left just before Copping. The road is gravel from this point, so please drive with care. Continue up this road for just over 20 km to the gate for the W9 road on the left hand side. We’ll be there, whatever the weather. There will be signage along the way, so you won’t get lost! Total travelling time from Hobart approx 1.5hrs.
What to bring: Warm clothes, raincoat, sturdy shoes, day pack, packed lunch and thermos/drink.
