If an alien were to view your web page he/she/it would have no problem in finding good reasons for staying away from Tasmania. With the exceptions of a clipped piece on the death of the bio-ethicist the Rev Newal I had to scroll all the way to the last article to find a single item that did not knock, complain about, denigrate the state, companies, government departments and individuals.

When your site first appeared I contributed to it and read it with interest and at times pleasure. The TT was informative and provided insights that appeared no where else in the Tasmanian media.

Sadly, for this reader your site has been dominated not by news, insights or airing the multitude of stories that are out there in our wonderful state but with self serving and a self selecting groups and one issue individuals. I do want to say that the environment is unimportant it isn’t; but it is not the only issue in this state, nationally or internationally.

Please, please, try and restore some balance to your pages the Tasmanian Times still has the capacity to provide broad political and community service by covering and exposing stories that the other media fail to cover.

If the TT continues down the path it has chosen for the past couple of years it will increasingly be open to a compliant of political bias at worst or of being one eyed at best.
