Nearly 10,000 voters have already registered, predominantly in the electorates of Bass and Lyons, and pledged to vote against any politician who supports the pulp mill. We are now in a position of being able to decide election results. The Voters’ Block is growing at a great rate. Which brings me to some realpolitik. Does John Howard want to win the forthcoming federal election? I believe he does, but, to the contrary, I believe Kevin Rudd does not. He wants NOT TO LOSE the election in Tasmania and that is a very different matter from wanting to win. In other words, he has received crap advice from Paul Lennon and the CFMEU that Tasmania is in the bag. So Rudd is defending a false position, an expected victory. When you take a defensive position too early in any game, you may get steamrolled.
