The Mayor of Flinders Island, in stark contrast to the West Tamar mayor delivered an articulate, considered speech on behalf of all the people of the Furneaux Group, including Aboriginal groups. That is what a proper mayor should do – represent the wishes of the majority of their constituents, not toady to the big business vested interests.
