Nick McKim should apologise for his appalling attempt to malign the reputation of some of Tasmania’s most senior public servants this morning.
Mr McKim falsely claimed a friend of mine was appointed to the role of Deputy Secretary in State Growth, and that I had somehow improperly influenced this process.
He is completely wrong, and he should apologise.
If he was still Leader of the Greens, Mr McKim would have no option but to resign the position after he used parliamentary privilege to make such a serious and unfounded allegation.
The very least that Mr McKim should now do is formally apologise to all involved, particularly the successful application to the position who he has so unfairly maligned.
