Animals Tasmania is celebrating its launch this Saturday, March 28th on Parliament Lawns from 10am to 2pm. The public is invited to enjoy a day of live music, delicious cruelty-free food, and mixing with friends and animal-loving stall holders. Friendly homeless dogs will eagerly greet potential adopters and face painting will be available to decorate the kids.

Chris Simcox, Animals Tasmania Coordinator, said “We have worked for many years as Against Animal Cruelty Tasmania being a voice for non-human animals in Tasmania. We now have a fresh new look and new energy to carry on our vision of positive change for non-human animals. Animals Tasmania is now set to take animal advocacy into the future.

“From this day forward, Animals Tasmania will be a strong voice for all animals, no exceptions. We will represent all non-human animals: on farms; in the oceans; in research laboratories; in the forests; in the suburbs. We will strive to eliminate all exploitation of nonhuman animals in Tasmania, and beyond.

“Animals Tasmania has a mission to engage with residents, visitors, businesses and policymakers of this state, to work together in being respectful of all species of non-human animals. We want people to consider the well-being of all species, with no exceptions.”
