I have been watching the Ukrainian situation, and it’s reporting in the Australian media with growing fascination and concern. The divergence between what I am seeing on social media and on various internet blogs and what we are being told or not told by the local mainstream media grows wider by the day.
Right now a wholesale slaughter of civilians is being conducted by means of indiscriminate bombardment of civilian facilities and domestic dwellings with heavy caliber weapons and rocket fire from Ukrainian troops whose positioning was conducted during the “ceasefire” just ended. Whole towns are being reduced to rubble.

It is put together by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation. It carefully and accurately documents reported violations that occurred in Ukraine for four months from December 2013 through March 2014. It is notable that these incidents are detailed far more completely than the various claims in mainstream media about the actions of the “terrorists” who are resisting the racsist, wonton and deliberate violence being directed at them by neo nazi thugs.
Reading it puts an entirely different perspective on the events at Maidan Square and subsequently. A perspective that is entirely absent from any mainstream media reporting on those events that I have seen.
