Premier Giddings: Sign up to Gonski now

A 500 strong crowd turned out at Parliament House lawns today to send an urgent message to Premier Lara Giddings to sign-up now to Gonski reforms.

“Teachers, parents, schools, unions an community groups came together to urge all politicians to back Gonski education reforms that would deliver an additional $400 million to Tasmania schools.

“The huge turnout, the biggest for a public education event of its type in Tasmania, showed the depth and breadth of support for a new system of funding that, for the first time, would deliver resources to each child according to need.”
