Northern Midlands farmer David Gatenby today was re-elected president of the Tasmanian Farmers and Graziers Association (TFGA) for his fourth term.

He was re-elected at the TFGA board meeting that followed today’s annual general meeting of the association in Launceston.

At the meeting of the new board, Meander farmer Wayne Johnston was re-elected vice president.

Mr Gatenby runs a wool property, View Point, near Campbell Town. He has diversified into prime lamb production, cattle, cropping – poppies and cereals – and timber production, all within a regime of environmental sustainablity.

Mr Johnston produces fat lambs, beef, poppies, potatoes, cereals and hazelnuts.
