Gunns are still trying to dupe investors with this proposal. Imagine the worlds 4th largest pulp mill less than 900 metres from people’s homes? Gunns want to destroy the Tamar Valley tourist attractions. They are trying to use legal force to transfer our assets to their shareholders. Gunns will never get a social license for this abuse. Gunns have spent five years searching for an unethical investor to finance their pulp mill.

The Bartlett Labor government has secretly done everything it can to transfer wealth to Gunns sharholders. They have given-away land and built infrastructure for Gunns, like this pipeline culvert at the left. When discovered they had no explanation. This is just one of hundreds of instances of corruption in Tasmania. The land Gunns wants to use for the pulp mill was given to RioTinto Alcan by the people of Tasmania as a ‘buffer zone’ in the 1950’s. Now they have re-sold our land to Gunns.
