What makes humankind different from all other animals is that we have an alleged conscience and have learned to develop a moralilty which governs behaviour. We can see ahead. We can feel sad. We can laugh at someone falling on a banana peel. We can invent…gun powder, cannons, bicycles, skyscrapers…nuclear weapons. We can go anywhere we want…to the bottom of the sea to the top of the tallest mountain and on to space.
And humanity has the ability to develop great ideas and philosophies. Kierkegaard developed Existentialism, Madam Currie saved lives by producing a new idea. Mahatma Ghandi thought many years and came up with passive resistance which is one of the most revolutionary acts in which we can participate.
