100 days to go! Tickets on sale next week for Taste of Summer
With just 100 days until the gates open on Tasmania’s most iconic food and drink festival, the countdown to Taste of Summer is well and truly underway, with tickets on sale next week.
Returning to Hobart’s waterfront from Saturday 27 December 2025 to Saturday 3 January 2026, this year’s Taste of Summer promises a vibrant, family-friendly celebration of Tasmania’s world-class produce, entertainment, and summer atmosphere.
The website now features details of this year’s food and beverage offering, including the full list of stallholders, as well as the release of the music and entertainment program.
Subscribers to Taste of Summer can access presale early bird tickets from Tuesday 23 September, with general early bird tickets available from Thursday 25 September.
Taste is also introducing a Locals Taste Pass, which is a discounted ticket that provides access for the full duration of the festival (excluding the New Year’s Eve Party).
General Manager Katharine Dean said tickets were expected to sell quickly.
“The Taste is about celebrating Tasmania at its best,” Dean said.
“We can’t wait to welcome everyone back this summer to enjoy the colour and energy of the waterfront.”
Last year’s festival was the biggest Taste yet, attracting nearly 90,000 attendees with record trade for stallholders, sold-out New Year’s Eve sessions and performances from almost 300 Tasmanian artists.
“New Year’s Eve sold out last year and is expected to sell out again.
“Festival-goers will be able to toast to 2026 on the waterfront with the city’s best view of the fireworks, alongside a full night of cracking food, drinks, DJs and live music.
“Families can catch the fireworks early before the celebrations transform into a dance party under the summer sky and neon lights. Three stages will feature local and interstate musicians, DJs and roaming performances, while Tasmania’s finest food, wine and cocktails fuel the party.”
Further information on New Year’s Eve Party tickets will be released shortly, with the lineup announcement coming soon.
Tasmania’s Taste of Summer is supported by the Tasmanian Government through Events Tasmania.
