‘Magical Moment’

by Callum J. Jones

As the day begins to fade away,
a stunning sight begins to play.
The sun descends over Port Arthur,
painting the sky in hues of amber.

The sky is awash in shades of pink
as the sun slowly starts to sink,
its fiery rays illuminating the clouds
in a spectacular display that astounds.

The ocean sparkles in the dying light
as birds soar in peaceful flight.
The air is filled with a calmness rare,
as if time itself has stopped to stare.

The ruins of Port Arthur stand tall,
as if listening to nature’s call.
The sunset casts an ethereal glow
as the ancient stones bask below.

This scene of beauty is not to last.
The sun sinks behind the horizon fast,
but in our hearts, it will forever stay,
this magical moment at Port Arthur bay.
