Temporary lane closure – Tasman Highway at Paradise Gorge (Orford)
There will be a single lane closure and reduced speed limit on the Tasman Highway at Paradise Gorge near Orford from Tuesday, 19 October until Friday, 22 October 2021, while more sensors are installed along the rock face.
The additional sensors are part of the department’s longer-term plan to monitor the stability of the rock face.
The southbound (Hobart-bound) lane of the highway will be closed and a reduced speed limit of 40 km/h in place during working hours: 9:00 am – 3:00 pm from Tuesday to Friday.
Road users should allow five minutes extra travel time during this work.
Please comply with the reduced speed limit and traffic management signs during the work.
