Book launch
Awareness of Australia’s aging population has created a need for the unique book that is being launched at Fullers Bookshop on Wednesday, April 8th at 5.30pm.
The Carer’s Cosmetic Handbook: Simple Health and Beauty Tips for Older Persons, (Jessica Kingsley Publishers, 2009), by local author, Sharon Tay, is a noteworthy book for carers about maintaining quality of life and providing health sensitive beauty treatments to those for whom they care.
This book is stand alone and the author is a Beauty Therapist and a Grandmother.
Nothing similar has been published before with this level of detail and emphasis on dignity at all stages of our lives.
The book will be launched by Adriana Taylor, Mayor of Glenorchy.
There will be an opportunity to speak with the author and Mayor Taylor at the event and to arrange an interview with the author outside the event.
