Blurb – Rob Parsons
In June 2023, Belgian traveller Céline Cremer vanished after setting out on the Philosopher Falls track in northwest Tasmania. What should have been a one-hour return walk became a mystery that has remained unresolved for more than two years. Despite extensive searches by police, volunteers, helicopters, drones and specialist dogs, no trace was ever found.
In 2024, new phone data recovered by private investigator Ken Gamble revealed Céline’s final recorded movements – leaving the track, crossing Seven Mile Creek, and climbing to a ridge high above the falls.
In this video, I retrace those GPS points step by step, following her line through some of Tasmania’s most challenging rainforest terrain. With the help of data shared by Gamble and drone specialist Daniel Wood, I head into the forest to better understand Céline’s final journey and the silence that still surrounds it.
