Friends of the Bays Fundraiser at Moonah Arts Centre
Friends of the Bays, a community organisation committed to protecting Storm, Frederick Henry and Norfolk Bays from the impact of the salmon industry, welcomes the election success of Peter George who has been a steadfast ally.
We also welcome the re-election of Craig Garland and Kristy Johnson, and all five of the Greens. Our opposition to the salmon industry will now be better represented in parliament.
However, our mission remains unfinished, and the campaign continues.
To this end, both to carry our message further and raise funds, Friends of the Bays is organising a musical event, a family event, at the Moonah Arts Centre, featuring Tasmanian bands Eureka and SoundBites.
Sunday 17 August, 16:00 to 19:30
Moonah Arts Centre, Tickets $30, children free.
Sometimes being part of a protest movement can be serious and earnest – our group tries to make it fun too.
And we will introduce our new friend, Mags the Maugean Skate.
