Netball Australia has announced the selection of athletes for the 2025 17 & under and 19 & under national pathway squads, following on from the 2025 National Netball Championships. Selected athletes will have the opportunity to elevate their netball skills across the course of the year with on court and off court education.

Following Tasmania’s performance at the NNC’s, three 17&U athletes and one 19&U athlete have been selected in the pathway squads. Sophie Sherriff, Isabella Sherriff and Amber Brown from the 17&U’s and Paige O’Neill from the 19&U’s will all participate in training camps later in the year.

Netball Tasmania’s Performance Pathway Manager Lauren Mills emphasises what an achievement this is for all four athletes.

“We are thrilled to have another four Tasmanian Athletes selected in this year’s Australian Pathway Camps in Paige, Issy, Sophie, and Amber. A fantastic achievement from hard-earned performances and recognition of the continued progression of the Tasmanian netball pathway”

The successful cohort was selected based on a range of attributes, including demonstrated skill and the potential for growth.
