Garland’s Message to the Treasurer: Better Call Saul
Independent Member for Braddon, Craig Garland MP, has today renewed calls for serious action by the Treasurer and the Treasury department, highlighting several key recommendations from Saul Eslake’s Independent Review of Tasmania’s State Finances that the Government should incorporate ahead of its 2025-26 State Budget deliberations.

The continued cost shifting and redirection of government spending away from public health, housing, education and expected community services – by passing unessential debt and spending onto future generations of Tasmanians is unforgivable.
Migration of our youth to the North Island to escape the debt forced on them by our present desperate political parties will again become the norm for Tasmania.
Is it time to reconsider our support for the state’s major political parties?
