Media release – East Coast Harvest Odyssey (ECHO Festival), 2 December 2024

ECHO Festival 2025 | March 14–16, 2025

The East Coast Harvest Odyssey (ECHO Festival) returns from March 14–16, 2025, offering a weekend of immersive culture, creativity, and connection against the breathtaking backdrop of Tasmania’s east coast.

This year, ECHO invites attendees to explore the theme of ‘Tides’, celebrating the vital rhythms of coastal life and their profound influence on our environment, community and culture.

Celebrating the east coast’s natural rhythms

The idyllic rural setting of Tasmania’s east coast is renowned for its striking beaches, world-class food and wine, and spectacular views. Overlooking Great Oyster Bay, the charming town of Swansea provides the perfect home for ECHO Festival, a celebration of our connection to country, community and coast.

Creative Producer Ange Boxall says, “ECHO 2025 invites us to reflect on the power of tides – not just in shaping our natural world but in the ebb and flow of our lives. It’s a theme that inspires creativity, storytelling and meaningful connection.”

The theme of ‘Tides’ highlights the integral role tidal movements play in our coastal environment. Tides support navigation, fishing, and the health of marine ecosystems. They nourish habitats like tidal flats and saltmarshes, which provide food and shelter for countless species. Tides also offer critical insights into rising sea levels and their impact on our future.
