CT Group finalises sale of EMRS to local communication strategists
Global research, intelligence and campaigns firm CT Group has concluded the sale of its Tasmania-based research fieldhouse subsidiary EMRS to local communication strategists, Brad Stansfield and Becher Townshend.
Catherine Douglas, CT Group Managing Director Australia, said: “CT Group is delighted EMRS will have a future under this new, Tasmanian ownership. In addition to providing telephone field services to CT Group for many years, EMRS has also maintained a roster of its own Tasmanian clients who through this acquisition can still be serviced by a local research provider.
“CT continues to deliver and invest in world-leading polling and strategic research services for clients in Australia and internationally.”
On behalf of Mr Townshend and himself, Mr Brad Stansfield said:
“We are very proud to be the new custodians of this great Tasmanian business.
“The strength of EMRS is its unbiased and accurate polling and market research services which give it a formidable reputation.
“We are acutely aware of this responsibility and are committed to ensure that the integrity of EMRS is upheld.
“The company will continue to be run independently, with existing Fieldwork Manager Mr Ken Drake assuming the position of Acting General Manager.
“We look forward to the business working closely with existing and future clients to continue to deliver the highest quality research.”
EMRS was acquired by CT Group in 2008 to vertically integrate the provision of telephone polling into its research service. The growth of CT Group’s global footprint and the evolving nature of the firm’s strategic research services meant it was no longer practical to maintain an independent fieldhouse in Australia.
