Call to action – Rosny Hill Friends Network, 29 April 2024

SAVE OUR PARKS – WE NEED YOU

  • Rosny Park and Charles Hand Park form the green gateway into the City of Clarence
  • In December 2023, after minimal publicity, Clarence City Council agreed to offer Rosny Parkland and Charles Hand Park for an AFL proposal to build a High Performance Centre covering both parks.

This will result in much of the area in both parks to be covered by two ovals, buildings and concrete or rock retaining walls.

  • In April 2024 over 1000 residents petitioned Clarence City Council to hold a public meeting to discuss:

o   The inappropriate siting of AFL High Performance Centres on public parklands

o   Inadequate community consultation before Council vote.

WHAT CAN YOU DO?

Attend a public meeting to be held on:

Wednesday 15th May 7pm at
