More than 400,000 Tasmanians enrolled to vote at the 2024 state election
Following the close of the electoral roll yesterday, a total of 408,197 Tasmanians are entitled to vote at the state election on Saturday 23 March.
This is a 3.49% increase on the 2021 state election, when 394,432 electors were enrolled.
The following breakdown provides enrolment numbers in each of the five divisions:
Bass: 80,126
Braddon: 83,875
Clark: 74,236
Franklin: 82,238
Lyons: 87,722
Nominations are now open
The nomination period for this election opened today. Intending candidates have until noon on Thursday 29 February to lodge their nomination. The lodgment details for each division are as follows:
