Community Art exhibition Opens Call for Submissions
The Devonport Regional Gallery is thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for artists and makers of all ages and all skill levels residing in north-west Tasmania. The Gallery is now accepting submissions for its upcoming Community Art exhibition, All in’ which promises to be a celebration of the vibrant creativity within our community.
All north-west Tasmanian residents are invited to contribute to this inclusive showcase. This open call encourages diversity in artistic expression, welcoming submissions from experienced makers and hobbyists, young and old alike.
Curator Ellina Evans expresses the Gallery’s enthusiasm for this community-driven initiative, stating, “We want to celebrate how creative our community is. All in. is an opportunity for locals to share their unique perspectives, talents, and stories. It’s a celebration of diversity, creativity, and the wonderful talent that exists within north-west Tasmania.”
The Devonport Regional Gallery will be holding workshops in the Creative Space on the 16th and 23rd of April at 10am – 12.30pm and 2pm – 3.30 pm for the community to work on their entries in a supportive, creative environment.
Attendees can expect a captivating display that reflects the creativity and talent flourishing within north-west Tasmania. There will be cash prizes on offer thanks to the generous sponsorship of Frankie J’s, and winners will be chosen by the public.
Artworks can be in any medium, provided they do not exceed the dimensions of 1 x 1 x 1 metre.
