The 18th edition of the Latin American Film Festival, organised by the Latin American Embassies in Canberra, will be held in Hobart from 11 November to 2 December 2023. All films will be screened at Mathers House in the city centre.
At the opening night there will be music, traditional Colombian dances from Latin Spring group and arepas, from ‘Arepas Latin Taste’ for purchase.
This event is entirely free and all films are subtitled. The organisers are hoping for as many people as possible to join us in the celebration of Latin American film and culture.
This year there is an exciting program including 13 films, each one from a different country in Latin America. LAFF has been organised in Hobart since 2015.
The Latin American Film Festival is the most important cultural event on the Latin American-Australian calendar and it will be brought to Hobart in its 18th edition.
