Croon Free Concert
Some lucky passers-by in the city will be entertained by a pop-up balcony concert by Tasmania‘s very own Ratpack, Croon ,on the balcony of the Alabama hotel on July 4, this is to promote their 10th anniversary show at the Theatre Royal July 20-23.
The boys, some members of the 17 piece Big Band and the Croonette dancers will be on the balcony of the Alabama hotel entertaining passers-by with some of their classic Ratpack hits on…

Wow, that went quick! Croon are turning 10. Can you believe it?
Our swinging little big boys with the snazzy jackets and the limited follicles have hit double figures. And to celebrate Andrew, Colin and John are putting on a brand-new show with all the trimmings. Matthew Ives and his Big Band are back, together with the Croonette Dancers and special guest Di Richards (who has appeared in all 8 of Croon’s stage shows.)
Talking of trimmings, this years presentation will include a little bit of Christmas in July as well. So be sure to bring your Santa hat and some Xmas cheer.
Come along for a swinging night of fun and laughter and relive some of the classic, much-loved songs the lads have performed with the band over the past 10 years, that have made them a household name. Also look out for some new tunes and versions of some pop songs like you’ve never heard them before.
After 10 years at the top, it’s no longer a fluke that “they’re still standing”!
