‘The International Dynamics of the Palestinian-Israeli Conflict’ by Dr Tristan Dunning

Presented by the Faculty of Law, UTAS, at the Law School, Grosvenor Crescent, Sandy Bay

Formerly from Launceston, Dr Dunning is an Honorary Research Fellow at the School of History and Philosophical Studies at the University of Queensland and author of Hamas, Jihad and Legitimacy: Reinterpreting Resistance in Palestine and many other publications.

 Thursday 6 April, 13-14.00

Dr Adel Yousif and Professor Hamish Maxwell-Stewart, with Professor Greg Lehman, will explore the ‘Correlation of colonisation of lutruwita/Tasmania and of Palestine’.

This presentation is part of the Professional Historians Association of Victoria and Tasmania and Libraries Tasmania program of talks at the Allport Library, within the State Library building on Murray Street Hobart. It will also be available as a webinar and available on Soundcloud. Book through Libraries Tasmania website and Eventbrite.

Nakba, 75th Commemoration, Saturday 13 May

This year the Nakba will be commemorated around Australia on Saturday May 13.

In Hobart there will be a vigil at 11.00 on Parliament House Lawns, and in Launceston a meeting at the University at 16.00. More details closer to the time. Please get in touch if you would like to help with either event.
