On Wednesday from 6:30pm at Simple Cider local rabble-rousing luminaries will be sitting down for ‘Futurevore: Eating Tomorrow’, a casual discussion on how to eat our way into dystopia or utopia.
Animal activist Kristy Alger, green thumb Lucy Slevin and food fighter Professor Alana Mann will be chewing the fat on our changing relationship to food during climate catastrophe and cost-of-living crisis.
Can we change our behaviour to save the planet? Will technology rescue us from our relentless hunger? Or are we doomed to consume?
The event is entry by donation and all funds raised will go towards rice, spice and everything nice for the Mutual Aid Community Kitchen right here in nipaluna/Hobart, usually held Sunday afternoons at Mathers House.
Simple Cider is at 189 Elizabeth St Hobart.
