Australian Irish dancing duo Ceili Moore and Brent Pace have made a name for themselves on the world stage of Irish dancing over the last few decades, winning world championships and dancing alongside the likes of greats such as Michael Flatley. With both of them coming from Irish dancing families in Australia, their union has seen the creation of live entertainment company Pace Live Entertainment Group, a uniquely Australian – Irish dance touring company which brings the magic and celebration of Irish dance and culture all over the country and the world.
Their latest touring show A Taste Of Ireland featuring a cast of 14 talented musicians and dancers will kick off their Tasmanian run in Devonport on Wednesday 19 April. Further performances will take place in Burnie, Launceston and Hobart over the following days.
These shows will feature a high calibre of talent including triple world champion Liam Costello fresh off an international tour of Riverdance. Joining Costello will be Vaughan Cooper – who will be bringing home a 2nd place trophy after competing in the All Ireland Championships, his first major dancing competition – and Dakota Courtney, a former Lord Of The Dance performer and the first dancer from Western Australia to place in the top five at the World Championships.
A Taste of Ireland―The Irish Music & Dance Sensation will entertain you into the night with a show starring dancers from the Lord of the Dance, Riverdance and Gaelforce Dance. The show brings all new sets, costumes, tunes and effects. Choreographed by Pace and Moore, this is not a show to miss! With revamped musical classics like ‘Danny Boy’ and ‘Tell Me Ma’, the show’s live, energetic blend of live acapella tap battles, world-class dancing, melodic folk music mashups and craic galore transports you through the story of Ireland’s tumultuous history.
“I am so very excited to bring my very own show A Taste of Ireland back home to Australia,” said Pace. “I can’t wait for Tasmanian audiences to see this show. And Ceili is looking forward to visiting her friends at Scoil Rince Ni Nelly in Hobart, where she has held workshops for the young dancers at the school.
“Since its inception A Taste of Ireland has grown into one of the top four most-followed Celtic productions in the world. The show provides a wonderful insight into Irish history and culture involving storytelling, visual design and dramatic effects with each and every number throughout the show.
“I think the most magical part of this year’s performance will be that my 1-year-old daughter will get to see her dad dance; it’s a family affair, and something I thought that would never happen.”
Set to tour the USA, Canada and the UK, after the Australian tour, don’t miss your chance to see A Taste of Ireland in 2023. It’s truly ‘Celtic―for this decade’.
