Star Rae Productions musical production of ‘Cinderella – A Musical Pantomime’
Launceston’s newest Theatre Production company, Star Rae Productions, is proud to announce its first musical pantomime show, Cinderella, featuring some of Launceston’s new and emerging talent.
Treated as a slave by the Baroness, her horrible stepmother, and often bullied by her two mean stepsisters, Cinderella’s life is no picnic. Sadly, her father, the Baron, is still coming to terms with the passing of his first wife and is not ready to stand up to the Baroness. Thankfully, her best friend Buttons, is always there to help cheer Cinderella up. But when Cinderella has an unexpected meeting with the Prince, will Buttons be able to put aside his feelings for Cinderella?
Cinderella is a family friendly classic style pantomime (with a hint of adult humour sprinkled in) written by Brisbane playwright, Sally Daly. Directed by Racheal Leigh, with musical direction by Kellie Cutler and choreography by Holly Gregg, this delightful pantomime follows the classic fairy-tale plot with a slight twist here and there. This is going to be one fantastic and fun pumpkin ride.
The production features a total of 25 local cast and crew members, including Ashley Eyles as Cinderella, Thomas Cross as Buttons, and Mitchell Trott as Prince Charming.
Leigh added, “This production is a light-hearted, fun comedy pantomime suitable for all ages. Star Rae Productions aims to provide opportunities like this for upcoming performers, as well as give the audience a story they can sit back and enjoy.”
