Midland Highway, south of Oatlands to be closed for 15 minutes

A section of the Midland Highway between Jericho and Oatlands will be closed to traffic in both directions for a short 15 minute period on Wednesday, 15 June 2022.

The closure will be for 15 minutes between 1:00 pm and 2:00 pm to ensure the safety of the public and our road workers while we blast rock next to the highway.

Traffic management will be in place, and road users must follow signs, speed limits, and any directions given by traffic controllers.

This work is part of the Midland Highway 10-year Action Plan – Oatlands project.

The closure will be limited to one 15-minute period, and every effort will be made to minimise impacts on road users.

We encourage road users avoid this section of the highway if possible or allow for a delay of at least 15 minutes.

If the Wednesday blasting does not achieve the required rock removal, further blasting will be done on Thursday, 16 June 2022.

We recognise these works may cause inconvenience and appreciate the public’s patience.
