Community survey results on political integrity

The #OurDemocracy campaign is a collaboration of over 30 organisations, and we’ve just concluded a national survey of Australians on attitudes on political integrity.

The results have just been published at https://www.ourdemocracy.com.au/survey/ and include reports specific to several seats in Tasmania.

The survey put each proposition exactly as written on the results website and results were collected using a 5 point Likert scale of Strongly disagree, disagree, neutral, agree and strongly agree.

The community survey responses were collected through a mix of offline and online outreach. Our Democracy volunteers delivered flyers with a QR code leading to the survey to nearly 50,000 letterboxes.

They also collected responses through street conversations at markets and other thoroughfares. The survey link was also shared via email and social media, both from organisational accounts associated or interested in the campaign and individuals.

The survey asked basic demographic data to give us a sense of what kinds of diversity we were reaching.
