Consultation outcomes please (AGAIN)!

Following our last media release three weeks ago on 4 April 2022, the Minister for Corrections said that an announcement on the future of the Ashley site would be made “shortly”.

A further 3 weeks have passed and there is still no announcement.

It has now been 6 weeks since the consultation process on the future use of the Ashley site ended.

Will an announcement only be made after the federal election has been and gone, so as not to cause ripples?

The community has been through enough. We do not deserve to be kept waiting any longer and we call on the Tasmanian Government to immediately announce its plans for our region.
