North-West death referred to the Coroner
The death of a 36 year-old woman in the north-west at the weekend has been referred to the Coroner.
While there has been speculation in the community that the woman died from COVID-19 complications, this has not been formally determined. Given the circumstances surrounding her death, the matter has been referred to the Coroner for determination.
On behalf of the Department of Health and the Tasmanian Health Service, I extend my condolences to the woman’s family and loved ones.
