Media release – Department of State Growth, 5 November 2021

Temporary road closures – Dove Lake Road (Cradle Mountain)

We are doing essential maintenance on Dove Lake Road, between the Ranger station and Dove Lake, from Monday 8 November until 19 November 2021, weather permitting.

Working hours will be between 7:30 am and 4:30 pm on weekdays, and there will be significant disruption to park access during the works.

Private vehicles will not be able to enter the park between 7:30 am and 7:30 pm on weekdays. Private vehicles that enter outside of these times will be able to exit the park only between 1:00 pm and 2:00 pm or after 5:00 pm, and they must follow a shuttle bus while leaving.

For the duration of works the shuttle bus will be running on a limited timetable on weekdays, with services available between 7:30 am and 8:30 am, 1:00 pm and 2:00 pm, and 5:00 pm and 7:00 pm.

Normal shuttle bus timetables and access for private vehicles will apply on weekends.

We are working closely with Tasmania Parks and Wildlife Service to minimise disruption to visitors to the Cradle Mountain – Lake St Clair National Park.
